- Canadian Bacon: Opt for high-quality Canadian bacon for a leaner option compared to regular bacon, enhancing the flavor without the grease.
- O'Brien Frozen Hash Browns: These pre-seasoned hash browns add a crispy, flavorful base to the cake, saving you prep time and adding texture.
- Pillsbury Biscuits: These biscuits provide a fluffy, doughy texture that absorbs the egg and melds deliciously with the other ingredients.
- Cheese: Use a mix of cheeses for depth of flavor; a combination of sharp cheddar and mild mozzarella works wonderfully.
How To Make Breakfast Bundt Cake
Embark on a culinary adventure with this simple yet delightful Breakfast Bundt Cake recipe. Let's break it down into easy, manageable steps:
- Preparation: Start by preheating your oven to 400°F to ensure it's ready for baking.
- Prep the Ingredients: Dice the Canadian bacon into small pieces for even distribution and cut each biscuit into quarters to ensure they bake through evenly.
- Mix the Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and milk until smooth. Add hash browns, bacon, and cheese, mixing after each addition to ensure everything is evenly coated. Finally, fold in the biscuit pieces gently.
- Pan Preparation and Baking: Spray your bundt pan with non-stick spray, pour the mixture in, and cover with foil to prevent over-browning. Bake for an hour until the eggs are set and the top is golden.
- Cooling and Serving: Let the cake cool slightly before inverting the pan to release the cake. Serve on a beautiful platter to highlight the stunning shape of your bundt cake.
Storage Options
To keep your Breakfast Bundt Cake tasting fresh, you can store it in the refrigerator for up to 4 days, making sure it’s tightly covered or wrapped in aluminum foil. For longer storage, slice and freeze it; wrapped slices can be reheated in a microwave or oven for a quick and delicious breakfast option any day of the week.
Variations and Substitutions

- Gluten-Free Adaptation: Use gluten-free biscuits to make this recipe friendly for those with gluten sensitivities.

Recipe Card
Breakfast Bundt Cake
Ingredients
- 6 ounces of Canadian bacon
- 2 cups of O'Brien-style frozen hash browns
- 12 large eggs
- 1 can of Pillsbury biscuits
- 2 cups of shredded cheese
- ½ cup of whole milk
- Salt and black pepper adjusted to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Initiate the cooking process by setting the oven to a temperature of 400°F (204°C). This ensures the oven reaches the correct temperature for baking.
- Prepare the Bacon: Utilize a sharp knife to meticulously dice the Canadian bacon into uniform small squares, ensuring even cooking and distribution within the cake.
- Segment the Biscuits: Carefully segment each biscuit into four equal parts. This aids in ensuring that they bake thoroughly and integrate well with the other ingredients.
- Combine Eggs and Milk: In a spacious mixing bowl, vigorously whisk together the eggs and milk until the mixture is homogeneous and smooth.
- Incorporate Hash Browns: Gently stir in the frozen O’Brien hash browns to the egg mixture, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
- Add Bacon and Cheese: Sequentially add the diced Canadian bacon and shredded cheese to the bowl, stirring after each addition to maintain an even distribution throughout the mixture.
- Fold in Biscuit Pieces: Delicately fold the biscuit pieces into the mixture, taking care not to deflate the eggs, to ensure a light, airy texture in the final bake.
- Prepare the Bundt Pan: Thoroughly coat a bundt cake pan with non-stick spray to prevent sticking and ensure easy removal of the cake after baking.
- Assemble in Pan: Carefully transfer the entire mixture into the prepared bundt pan, smoothing the top with a spatula to create an even surface.
- Cover and Bake: Securely cover the pan with aluminum foil to prevent excessive browning of the top. Place in the preheated oven and bake for one hour, or until the eggs are fully set and the top is lightly golden.
- Final Cooking Stage: Upon completion of baking, remove the cake from the oven. The eggs will continue to cook slightly from residual heat, ensuring thorough cooking without drying out the cake.
- Cool and Unmold: Allow the cake to cool slightly in the pan before inverting it onto a serving platter. This gentle inversion allows the cake to release cleanly from the pan.
- Serve: Present the Breakfast Bundt Cake on a cake stand or serving platter, slicing as desired and serving while warm for optimal enjoyment.

Tried this today. Christmas morning. I’m going to slice pieces for the freezer, for a quick breakfast, when I have my twin grands. This was very good. I did a mixture of breakfast sausage and bacon. I’m going to tweak it up a little bit next time.
Y’all need to try this.

This was amazing. I used a 9x13 pan and added sautéd onions and green peppers. Next time I might 1/8 the biscuits if possible.
